All-Star Week Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire

The All-Star Break is here but there’s no rest on the Fantasy Basketball waiver wire! Most leagues remain on week 18 in a two-week setting, so we’ll dive into pickups to get you set for the rest of the week. Since the trade deadline, a lot of veteran players were moved opening up extra minutes for rookies and sophomores! Mark Williams, Malaki Branham, and Cam Thomas were mentioned previously and are worth the add if available with big opportunities headed there way. Here are four other names who are ready to make an impact on your Fantasy Basketball teams!

Mid-Week Basketball Waiver Wire

Kelly Olynyk, PF/C – Utah Jazz (62% rostered)

Since the All-Star game is in Utah we might as well start there right!? Tons of entertainment is going on in Salt Lake this weekend, but my eyes are on the veteran Kelly Olynyk. Speaking of entertainment, Olynyk was making some quality Jazz alright averaging 23 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3.5 3PTM over his last two games. The Jazz moved Mikey Conley, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt on trade deadline day opening up extra minutes on the floor. Vanderbilt has been a key contributor to the front-court in Utah but not anymore! Olynyk has played over 26 minutes in four straight games and has scored double figures in six-straight. In his first game after the deadline, he posted 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Olynyk can rack up stats in multiple categories so this is one big hit you do not want to miss out on! Add away baby!

Terance Mann, SG/SF – LA Clippers (34% rostered)

From Salt Lake to Los Angeles, we go! Terance Mann is another player taking full advantage of the NBA trade deadline. The Clippers made a few moves but the key for Mann was trading away guard Reggie Jackson for Center Mason Plumlee opening up extra minutes from the guard position and Mann has been on a roll ever since. In his last two games, Mann is averaging 21 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 0.5 steals, and 2.5 3PTM. He’s scored double-digit points in six-straight games and is jiving with Paul George in Kawhi Leonard in the starting lineup. The Clippers reportedly turned down some big deals that involved Terance Mann and view him as a focal point of the team. Pick him up, especially with George and Leonard resting down the stretch. Oh baby.

Kyle Anderson, SF/PF – Minnesota Timberwolves (40% rostered)

Kyle Anderson waiver wire pick-up alert! Anderson is about to start setting career highs across the board as he’s entrenched himself into a starting role in Minnesota. Anderson has looked great in his return from injury averaging 15 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 2 steals in his last two starts. Not too shabby folks! He posted a great 18-point, 5-rebound, 8-assist, 2-steal line in his last start where he saw 31 minutes of action. D’Angelo Russell was a top 50 scorer in the league and has been shipped off to the Lakers. Karl-Anthony Towns keeps having setbacks and is now expected to return in late March. Shut down alert? Don’t overthink this one and pick up Kyle Anderson.

Josh Okogie, SG/SF – Phoenix Suns (44% rostered)

The Phoenix Suns made the biggest splash on trade deadline day acquiring superstar Kevin Durant. Durant is still recovering from an MCL sprain and although he expects to come back soon there’s still no clear timetable to return which has opened up the door for Josh Okogie. The Suns traded away a lot of their depth in Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, and Dario Saric and Okogie has taken full advantage. Okogie is averaging 20.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 3.8 3PTM over his last four games proving he is no fluke! Okogie has at least 19 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 3PTM in three of his last four games. As long as Durant is out of the lineup, Okogie will be worth a roster spot.
