57 Essential Notes from Week 12 Fantasy Football

Each week I do the dirty work and look at every single team, taking notes of who did what from a Fantasy Football lens. This takes some time but is important to do each week so that we can identify players trending up/down, be aware of role changes, make roster transactions, and understand bigger pictures. We should always be learning and adjusting when it comes to Fantasy Football – it is what can separate you from your league mates. Here are the important notes from Week 12 that you should be aware of if you want to win in Week 13 and on into your fantasy football playoffs.

Notes from Week 12 to Help You Win in Week 13 and Beyond

  1. Kyler Murray finished as a Top 12 quarterback for two weeks straight and has scored 18.3-22.7 Fantasy Points in each of his three starts. He put up a season-high 256 passing yards in Week 12, has back-to-back weeks with a passing touchdown, and three straight games with a rushing touchdown.
  2. Marquise Brown had his first solid week with Kyler Murray this season, finishing with 14.8 Fantasy Points. Very positive sign after scoring under four Fantasy Points in the previous two weeks. Even more positive was the 12 targets that came Hollywood’s way in Week 12.
  3. 95 then 91 rushing yards for Bijan Robinson in the last two weeks. Season-high 27.3 Fantasy Points in Week 12 due to 123 scrimmage yards and both a rushing and receiving touchdown.
  4. 91 receiving yards for Drake London, which is a positive sign as he has finished with 55 or fewer receiving yards in the prior three games played straight.
  5. Season-high 23.2 Fantasy Points for Zay Flowers in the first game with Mark Andrews out for the season. Flowers caught five of eight targets for a mediocre 25 yards but ended up scoring both a receiving and rushing touchdown in Week 12.
  6. Keaton Mitchell led the Ravens backfield with 11 touches vs. Gus Edwards’ nine and Justice Hill’s five. Mitchell finished with 89 scrimmage yards in Week 12.
  7. Josh Allen exploded in Week 12’s overtime loss, throwing for 339 yards on 51 attempts for two touchdowns and an interception. Allen rushed nine times for a season-high 81 yards and scored two rushing touchdowns.
  8. Gabe Davis caught six of 12 targets for 105 receiving yards and a touchdown in Week 12 after not recording any stats in Week 11. Stefon Diggs bounced-back catching six of 11 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown. Both Buffalo wide receivers scored over 19 Fantasy Points in Week 12.
  9. Chuba Hubbard scored a season-high 20.2 Fantasy Points, guided by a rushing touchdown and five receptions for 92 scrimmage yards. Miles Sanders finished with 15 touches behind Hubbard’s 19 in Week 12.
  10. The only Bengal to score 12 Fantasy Points was Ja’Marr Chase (12.1), who caught four of six targets for 81 yards. Two of those four receptions were deflected passes.
  11. David Njoku earned nine targets in Week 12, after earning 15 in the prior week. Three straight weeks for Njoku of 54+ receiving yards, and he has hit this mark in five of his last six games. Njoku also has scored double-digit Fantasy Points in six straight games.
  12. Pending Monday Night Football, Dak Prescott has finished as a top-three Fantasy quarterback in five of his last six games. Dak threw four touchdowns in Week 12, which marks the third time across the last five weeks he has done that in a game.
  13. Back-to-back games with a rushing touchdown for Tony Pollard, who has scored 18 then 22.3 Fantasy Points the last two weeks after finishing with under 10 points in the prior three weeks in a row.
  14. Both CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks finished Week 12 with 17.3/17.2 Fantasy Points guided by touchdowns. Both caught four passes, with Lamb producing 53 and Cooks 72 receiving yards.
  15. Samaje Perine has trended up the last two games through the air and on the ground. In Week 11 Perine caught seven passes for 60 yards and then in Week 12, he rushed for 55 yards and a score. 13.7 then 13.6 Fantasy Points.
  16. Back-to-back games with 11 targets for Amon-Ra St. Brown, who caught nine of those for 95 yards in Week 12. Following the Week 9 BYE, ARSB has scored 30.5, 21.7, 18.5 Fantasy Points.
  17. 332 passing yards in Week 12, which was one less than his passing yard total in Week 10 for Jared Goff. Three straight games throwing a pair of touchdowns.
  18. Sam LaPorta caught five of his eight targets for 47 yards and a touchdown in Week 12. 17.,7 Fantasy Points marked the fourth week hitting this score or higher for the rookie.
  19. 116, 76 then 71 rushing yards for David Montgomery across the last three weeks upon his return from injury. Monty scored a rushing touchdown in all three of these games.
  20. Jordan Love threw three touchdowns in Week 12, which marked the third time this season he has done this. 39 rushing yards in Week 12 tied his season high from Week 3.
  21. Rookie Jayden Reed has scored 19.4, 19.2 then 15 Fantasy Points across the last three weeks. Reed has scored three touchdowns during this span and tied his season-high eight targets in Week 12.
  22. Christian Watson finally had a big game in Week 12. Five receptions on seven targets for a season-high 94 receiving yards and a touchdown for 20.4 Fantasy Points. Back-to-back weeks with a touchdown.
  23. CJ Stroud continues to ball out and scored 30.9 Fantasy Points in Week 12. Stroud threw 26/36 for 304 yards, two touchdowns, and rushed for a touchdown. Four straight weeks throwing for over 300 yards.
  24. Nico Collins scored over 20 Fantasy Points (23.4) for the third time this season in Week 12. Collins caught seven passes for the second week in a row but for 104 yards and a touchdown. 20 targets across the last two games.
  25. Five receptions on eight targets for 50 yards and a touchdown for Tank Dell. Three straight games with a receiving touchdown shows the big rookie-to-rookie connection in Houston.
  26. 12 touches for 72 scrimmage yards for Devin Singletary vs. six touches for 18 yards for Dameon Pierce in Week 12.
  27. Jonathan Taylor rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns for 21.1 Fantasy Points in Week 12. This marked the second time through seven appearances Taylor has finished with 21+ Fantasy Points and the second time across the four weeks he rushed for 91+ yards.
  28. 20.7 Fantasy Points for Michael Pittman Jr. who caught 10 of his 13 targets for 107 receiving yards. MPJ has been targeted 25 times across his last two games played.
  29. Not a big game, but it is important to note 13 targets for Josh Downs, who battled a knee injury prior to the Week 11 BYE.
  30. Another productive day for Trevor Lawrence in a row, who threw for 364 yards with both a touchdown and interception. Lawrence has rushed for three touchdowns across the last two games played.
  31. Calvin Ridley has scored 31.1 and then 21.9 Fantasy Points across the last two games played. 103 then 89 receiving yards, three total touchdowns, and 15 targets within these two games.
  32. Breakout game for Rashee Rice, who caught eight of his 10 targets for 107 receiving yards and a touchdown. 24.7 Fantasy Points. Season highs across the board. The second-round rookie is currently the second-most targeted player in Kansas City.
  33. Keenan Allen continues to put the Chargers on his back. Allen caught 14 of his 16 targets for 106 receiving yards and finished with 22.6 Fantasy Points. Allen has earned 14, 16, 16 targets across the last three weeks, produced over 100 receiving yards in these games, and has finished with over 22 Fantasy Points in them all as well.
  34. After dealing with a chest injury, Gerald Everett caught all four targets in Week 12 for 43 yards and a touchdown. Season-high 14.3 Fantasy Points.
  35. Kyren Williams returned to action in Week 12 after missing the last four games and led all running backs in Fantasy scoring with 38.4 points. Williams rushed 16 times for 143 yards and caught six passes for 61 yards with two of those catches being touchdowns. Williams has been a top-four Fantasy running back in four of his seven appearances this season.
  36. Two of Tyler Higbee’s five receptions resulted in touchdowns in Week 12 resulting in a season-high 19.9 Fantasy Points.
  37. Josh Jacobs finished Week 12 with a solid 24 touches. 20 rushing attempts for 110 yards a touchdown, and four receptions. 22.5 Fantasy Points. Jacobs continues to be a true workhorse in a league full of committees.
  38. After a string of down weeks, Jakobi Meyers scored 20.1 Fantasy Points. Meyers caught six of his seven targets for 79 yards and a touchdown in Week 12.
  39. Nine receptions on 12 targets for 102 receiving yards and a touchdown for Tyreek Hill in Week 12. Back-to-back weeks with receiving touchdowns and six straight double-digit targeted weeks are two quality streaks. Hill has now scored over 25 Fantasy Points in eight games this season.
  40. 85, 86, 94 rushing yard trend for Raheem Mostert across the last three games. 44 rushing attempts in the last two weeks is quality volume for the veteran. Mostert rushed for two touchdowns in Week 12 and scored 21.4 Fantasy Points.
  41. Jaylen Waddle caught all eight targets for 114 receiving yards in Week 12 for 19.4 Fantasy Points. Waddle has been fairly inconsistent in production, but this marked the second week over 100 receiving yards and the third week over 18 Fantasy Points.
  42. 87, 88 then 98 rushing yards for Rhamondre Stevenson in his last three games played. 41 rushing attempts across the last two weeks is a positive change in his rushing volume. Stevenson has scored two rushing touchdowns across the last three games and has had Fantasy scores of 22.9 and 21.7 during this stretch. Five receptions in Week 12.
  43. 94 then 114 receiving yards for Chris Olave across his last two games played with Fantasy scores of 21.4 then 18.4 during this stretch. Olave caught seven of his nine targets in Week 12, but exited the game in the third quarter due to a concussion we will need to monitor.
  44. 119 scrimmage yards for Alvin Kamara in Week 12 for 15.9 Fantasy Points.
  45. Breakout game for rookie Jalin Hyatt, who caught five of his six targets for 109 receiving yards. 15.9 Fantasy Points. Season highs across the board here.
  46. Garrett Wilson continues to produce in a bad situation, catching seven of his 10 targets for 44 yards and a touchdown which resulted in 17.4 Fantasy Points. Wilson has finished six weeks with double-digit targets and four weeks with 17+ Fantasy Points.
  47. Huge game for Jalen Hurts in the Eagles’ overtime win in Week 12. Hurts finished with 200 passing yards, three touchdowns, an interception, a season-high 65 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns. 35.5 Fantasy Points was a season-high for Hurts. Four rushing touchdowns across the last two weeks show both his safe floor and high ceiling for Fantasy scoring on top of whatever he ends up doing in the passing department.
  48. DeVonta Smith caught seven of his eight targets for 106 receiving yards and a touchdown for a season-high 23.6 Fantasy Points. Back-to-back weeks with eight targets with Dallas Goedert out.
  49. Huge game for Pat Freiermuth following the firing of the Steelers’ offensive coordinator, in the tight end’s second game back from injury. Muth caught nine of his 11 targets for 120 receiving yards and scored a position-best 21 Fantasy Points.
  50. Najee Harris rushed 15 times for 99 yards and a touchdown for 15.9 Fantasy Points. Najee finished with one less touch than Jaylen Warren, but was far more productive in Week 12.
  51. The 13-31 Seattle loss meant zero Fantasy Football options scored 10 Fantasy Points. Super gross.
  52. Christian McCaffrey did Christian McCaffrey things in Week 12. 19 rushing attempts for 114 yards and two touchdowns along with five receptions for 25 yards. CMC scored 30.9 Fantasy Points in Week 12, which marks five straight weeks over 20 Fantasy Points scored.
  53. Mike Evans caught six of his nine targets for 70 receiving yards and two touchdowns in Week 12 for 25 Fantasy Points. Evans has scored 25+ Fantasy Points in two of his last three games and has scored four touchdowns across the last three weeks.
  54. Season-high 100 rushing yards for Rachaad White in Week 12.
  55. As expected, Derrick Henry ate against the Panthers. 18 rushing attempts for 76 yards and two touchdowns for 20.6 Fantasy Points. Solid bounce-back in a cake matchup.
  56. Nine catches on 11 targets for 100 receiving yards for Curtis Samuel in Week 12. That is two receiving yards less than the combination of Jahan Dotson (52) and Terry McLaurin (50).
  57. Sam Howell has finished as a top 12 Fantasy quarterback now in five straight weeks following 18.3 points in Week 12.
