2023 Fantasy Football: Week 15 Quarterback Rankings (Weekend Update!)

The fantasy football playoffs are here! Congratulations if you’re still standing, especially given all the injuries to quarterbacks this season. The position has been hit particularly hard, and the hits keep coming as we head into the final weeks. Justin Herbert is out for the season, and we could be without C.J. Stroud this week, both significant blows to the Week 15 quarterback rankings. With that in mind, let’s get to the week’s notes and rankings.

Injury Notes for Week 15

  • Justin Herbert fractured his finger and is out for the season. The Chargers will roll with Easton Stick from here on out.
  • C.J. Stroud is in the league’s concussion protocol, and his Week 15 status is unclear. Be sure to monitor the injury reports as the week progresses. UPDATE: Stroud is doubtful to suit up in Week 15. Case Keenum will start against Tennessee.
  • Geno Smith sat out last week with a groin injury. If he remains sidelined, Drew Lock will again be under center for Seattle against the Eagles on Monday night.

Quarterback Notes

  • Matthew Stafford is on fire. He’s thrown a league-high 10 touchdowns over the last three weeks and ranks as the QB4 in fantasy points in that span. What’s also impressive is that he moved the ball effectively against Baltimore and Cleveland, both top-five defenses. Up next, Stafford gets a smash matchup against a Washington team that has given up the most touchdowns and fourth-most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks. They’ve also allowed the second-most fantasy points to the position. Stafford jumps up the ranks this week and is my QB6 in Week 15.
  • Jordan Love is coming off one of his worst performances of the season. He completed 25 of 39 pass attempts for 218 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. It was the first time he failed to throw for multiple touchdowns in four weeks. However, Love should rebound in Week 15. He faces a shaky Tampa Bay defense that has allowed the second-most passing yards and fifth-most fantasy points to the position. They’ve also given up 19 touchdowns through the air, tied for seventh-most this season. I’m buying a bounce-back for Love in Week 15, as he ranks as the QB9 in my Week 15 quarterback rankings.
  • Russell Wilson posted another solid performance in Week 14. He completed 21 of his 33 pass attempts for 224 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Wilson has now totaled multiple touchdowns in three consecutive weeks. That should continue in Week 15 against a vulnerable Detroit defense. The Lions have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points and sixth-most touchdowns to quarterbacks this season. They’ve also allowed the most rushing yards to the position, an area Wilson can exploit. His 315 rushing yards on the year are good for eighth-most among quarterbacks, and he’s rushed for two scores in the last three weeks. Wilson should have a good day at the office in Week 15.
  • It’s hard not to root for Joe Flacco at this point. Since starting for the Browns in Week 13, Flacco has attempted 89 passes, thrown for 565 yards, and posted five touchdowns to two interceptions. He also ranks as Fantasy’s QB10 during that period. Flacco should continue to roll in Week 15. He gets a favorable home matchup against a Bears team that has allowed the third-most touchdowns and 13th-most fantasy points to the position. Flacco is a solid streaming option with upside and ranks as my QB17 in Week 15.
