2022-23 Fantasy Basketball Dynasty Rankings

The NBA season is still over two months away, but it’s never too early to start preparing for drafts, especially when it comes to dynasty leagues. With the added element of keeping your roster for more than just one season, as is typical of most fantasy leagues, there is a lot more strategy involved in the draft process. One person’s rankings may look completely different from the next, with some people looking to win immediately, while others attempt to play the long game and build for the future. Trying to take all of that into consideration, let’s dive into the fantasy basketball preseason with my early top 125 dynasty rankings.

Dynasty Rankings Notes and Highlights

Giannis Antetokounmpo takes the top spot in my rankings, as a durable, consistent force who is in the prime of his career. However, if you’re a fan of Doncic or Jokic at number one, I wouldn’t blame you. It really should be one of these three guys though.

Age matters. Yes, LeBron, KD, and other elite veterans will likely still be top options for the next season or two. But unless you’re really selling out to win now, drafting some of the younger options will almost always be the better move.

This draft class looks like it could be a really good one, but it’s always hard to rank a guy who’s never played a minute in the league before. The only thing I do know is that Paolo Banchero is the real deal. On the other hand, I am not a Chet Holmgren believer, and there’s nothing you can do to change my mind. To quote Charles Barkley, “I may be wrong, but I doubt it!”

I chose not to rank Miles Bridges because of his ongoing legal troubles. However, I’d likely have him in the early thirties if his situation were to suddenly clear up.
