2021 Fantasy Football: Week 17 RB Rankings

Week 17 is here and if you made it to the finals this year, this RB rankings list is a must-read for you. It is easy to overthink for the final game of the season, but trust me as I have the perfect list for you this week.

Just as a reminder this list is based on half PPR scoring.

Running Back Notes:

Last week Justin Jackson was the hero of the week in the absence of Austin Ekeler, but Ronald Jones II still did his thing with Leonard Fournette out. This week I have Jones as my RB7 against the Jets. Last week Jones had 20 rushes for 65 yards and a touchdown. Ke’Shawn Vaughn did steal a touchdown from Jones but only had seven carries. The Jets are the worst fantasy defense against running backs giving up 26.7 fantasy points a game. If Jones gets another 20 rushes, he is sure to have a huge game this week.

Next, I have Rashaad Penny ranked as my RB15. I know Penny has been boom or bust the last four weeks. But, he is getting the touches which is the most important thing. This week he has a great matchup against the Lions who are giving up 22 fantasy points to running backs this season. This will be Penny’s easiest matchup since taking over at running back. When he has faced a low-end defense as in the Texans and bears he went over 100 yards on the ground and a couple of touchdowns.

Lastly, I have Damien Harris ranked at 13 this week. I know it is hard to trust New England running backs as we never know who is getting the touches. But, it is clear that Harris will lead the team this week. He now has back-to-back 100-yard rushing games in his last starts. This week he has the Jaguars who are giving up 17.7 fantasy points to running backs this season. Rhamondre Stevenson is questionable this week as he is on the COVID-19 list. If he is out this week, Harris’ value will skyrocket this week.
