2021 Fantasy Football:  Week 16 Quarterback Rankings

Tom Brady logged his worst game of the season in Week 15, throwing for 214 scoreless yards and an interception. If you somehow survived and are still competing in your fantasy league, congratulations! Brady will be without Chris Godwin and Leonard Fournette this week but still ranks as my QB8 in the Week 16 quarterback rankings.

As we head into Week 16, it’s crucial to stay on top of all player injury and COVID-related news. Jared Goff is one of the more high-profile players that landed on the COVID-19 list on Monday. As Week 15 demonstrated, this is a fluid situation, so be sure to monitor everything throughout the week when preparing for the second round of the fantasy football playoffs. Good luck, everybody!

Week 16 Quarterback Notes

  • Matthew Stafford threw for at least 285 yards and three touchdowns in three of the past four weeks. He gets a smash spot in Week 16 against the Minnesota Vikings and their leaky defense. Fire Stafford up as a top-three quarterback this week.
  • Joe Burrow had a disappointing Week 15, attempting a season-low 22 passes for 157 yards and a touchdown. This week, he gets a nice opportunity to bounce back against a vulnerable Ravens secondary. When Burrows faced the Ravens in Week 7, he threw for 416 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. He’s my QB7 this week.
  • It’s tough to trust Dak Prescott, especially in the midst of the playoffs. He’s the QB37 over the last three weeks, and while he gets a favorable matchup against the Football Team, Prescott finished with 211 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions when he faced them in Week 14. He could easily go off, so it’s hard not to play him. But consider Prescott a back-end QB1 this week and hope for the best.
  • Keep an eye on the quarterback situation in Baltimore. Tyler Huntley started in place of Lamar Jackson last week and finished as the QB1 by throwing for 215 yards and two touchdowns. He also chipped in 73 rushing yards and a couple of rushing touchdowns. As of Tuesday, head coach John Harbaugh said no decision had been made about Jackson’s status for Week 16. Stay tuned, as Huntley would be a strong streaming option this week, given his dual-threat ability.
