I know, I know. Having to plug kickers and defenses into your fantasy lineups is one of the worst parts of fantasy football. Especially when you get beat because of it. But you get what you get, and you don’t get upset. So, let’s take a look at three potential defenses that could score you some points. Arizona Cardinals Defense
There’s a vast difference between how Sam Darnold played early in the year vs. how he’s played recently. To be completely honest, I’m not entirely sure that he’ll be named the starter in Week 10. Robby Anderson thought he escaped Darnold’s wrath, only to be forced to struggle through another year with him. I love the Cardinals defense in this situation because they’ll be able to put up points, taking CMC running the ball out of the game script, and whether Darnold or Walker is the QB, you’ll be in line to see plenty of interceptable passes. This is my favorite defensive matchup of the week.
Los Angeles Rams Defense
The 49ers are having trouble on offense. They can’t really run the ball, which is a staple in the Shanahan offensive system, and whether Jimmy G or Trey Lance is behind center, they’re going to have trouble throwing on a defense that has Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, and Von Miller. This is a defensive line that’s going to be able to pressure the QB while only rushing four, making it that much harder to throw on them. Further, with Von Miller now in the mix, you’re going to have to seriously consider whether it’s smart to double team Aaron Donald. Smash this defense against almost any team. San Fran is going to be in hell during Week 10.
Pittsburgh Steelers Defense
I know it’s a short week for the Steelers, but they’re playing the Detroit Lions. They’ll be fine. There’s not much more analysis that needs to be done.
