Picks of the Week

Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans

This one is a no-brainer to me. Indianapolis might be the most underrated team in football these days. They just hung right in there with the defending Super Bowl Champs, the week after they routed the Buffalo Bills. Carson Wentz looks a bit like a more refined and smarter version of his old self, and the reunion with Frank Reich has been a success thus far. Expect Jonathan Taylor to go crazy this week, as the Colts run it early and often en route to a nice victory.

Minnesota Vikings @ Detroit Lions

Minnesota desperately needs a win, the Lions, not so much, only other to prevent a winless season. Minnesota did just lose Dalvin Cook for the time being, but Alexander Mattison is one of the best backups in the game right now, so I do not see the Vikings losing a ton on the ground.  To put it simply, Minnesota cannot afford to drop this game as they currently sit at 5-6, tied for the final wild-card spot. These are the games that they cannot afford to lose as the Lions have a league-leading 10 losses so far this season, and so Minnesota is a solid play this week.

Dallas Cowboys @ New Orleans Saints

Alvin Kamara is officially ruled out for this contest, and it looks like Taysom Hill will get the start. However, this is a game where the Dallas offense will simply be too much for New Orleans. If they fall behind early, it is up to Taysom Hill with a mediocre receiving group to get them back into this game. I just do not see it. I’m taking Dallas in this one.

Matchup to Avoid

New England Patriots @ Buffalo Bills

This is one that does not require a ton of analysis. there are simply too many better matchups than to play this one, especially in Week 13 if you have made it this far.
