Fantasy Football: Week 11 Rankings from Chris Meaney

The Fantasy Football Week 11 rankings are pretty thin as there are six teams on bye. If you are in a must win situation, you’ll most likely have to take some risks. Trust me, you are not the only one starting Doug Martin or Maurice Harris. Let’s hope actually, you are not starting either, but if you’re in a bad spot, my Week 11 rankings are below. I had the pleasure to talk to Jim Sannes of NumberFire this week, and we previewed each game from a betting and fantasy football standpoint as you’ll see below. As always, if you have any questions feel free to reach out @chrismeaney. There are not a lot of injuries to deal with, it’s just a matter of replacing those on bye.

Teams on bye:
Buffalo Bills
Cleveland Browns
Miami Dolphins
New England Patriots
New York Jets
San Francisco 49ers

Josh Rosen vs. OAK

If Nick Mullens can throw two touchdowns and end up with 20 fantasy points against the Oakland Raiders, then Josh Rosen can. The Arizona Cardinals’ QB is coming off one of his better games, and we should feel good about David Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald and Ricky Seals-Jones, so feel good about Rosen in what is a great matchup. The Raiders have allowed the sixth-most passing yards per game and the third-most points per game. They have also surrendered 21 passing touchdowns which are just two back of Tampa Bay for the league-high. OAK ranks 32nd in pass DOVA, according to Football Outsiders. I’m not saying start Rosen in a 12-team league, but start him in a two-QB league with six teams on bye.

Alex Collins vs. CIN

Mark Ingram was able to bust a couple big plays on the ground against the Cincinnati Bengals last week and Alex Collins could definitely do the same. With Joe Flacco all but ruled out, the Baltimore Ravens’ game plan may heavily surround Collins and the run game. The Bengals have allowed the most yards and passing yards per game, to go along with the second most fantasy points per game to RB’s.

Doug Martin @ ARI

I mentioned Doug Martin at the top, and I have him ranked higher than most. It feels nasty and I feel sick typing here, but the matchup is alright and the usage has increased in each week. Martin has had at least a 4.1 YPC mark in his last three games, and last week he had a season high 15 carries and 92 total yards. He out-touched Jalen Richard 18-to-8 and has six catches on seven targets in his past three games, two of which were double-digit fantasy showings. Arizona has allowed the fourth most rushing yards and fantasy points per game to running backs. It’s hard to imagine Martin getting many red zone attempts, but the Cardinals have allowed 13 rushing touchdowns, which are the second most.

Maurice Harris vs. HOU

I’m not saying this is a good play, but you may have to rock Maurice Harris in a 14 or 16-team league. Let’s hope it’s a PPR format as Harris has led Washington in catches in the last two games. He only had five grabs last week, but has 15 in his last two games with just under 200 yards. Jamison Crowder is already ruled out and Chris Thompson won’t play either. Don’t ignore volume as Harris had led Washington in yards in each of the last two weeks and has the best showing on his team this season. Josh Doctson has a better chance at a TD.

Donte Moncrief vs. PIT

Donte Moncrief leads his team in air yards and took an 80 yard touchdown to the house last week. He has at least 76 yards in four of his past six games. He’s also had at least seven targets in three of those contests. He also leads his team (WR’s) in targets, catches and yards over the last four weeks.
