NFL Team Needs: NFC South

It seemed like every week the teams from the NFC South were causing a ruckus. It started early with Adrian Peterson barking at head coach Sean Payton for playing time. His exit from the team was the catalyst for Alvin Kamara's emergence and the creation of "Boom and Zoom." The ruckus continued with the Kelvin Benjamin trade while Greg Olsen recovered from a foot injury suffered in Week 2. In his stead, rookie Christian McCaffrey and Devin Funchess began to show up in highlight reels running fake wheel routes. Julio Jones…

Fantasy Football: Divisonal Round Matchups – Sunday

This Sunday’s games are the only playoff games to this point which will feature division winners facing each other. In each instance, the conference’s South division champion will travel to face the North division winner. Both games are also rematches of early-season contests. Here we break down the players who should be given serious consideration in your weekly lineups. Fantasy Football: Wild Card Weekend Matchups – Sunday

Welcome to the second half of my Wild Card Weekend preview column. We touched on the Saturday matchups earlier. This edition will focus on the Sunday matchups. BUFFALO BILLS AT JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS Sunday’s first game will see the Jacksonville Jaguars hosting the Buffalo Bills. Neither team has made the playoffs in a decade. Particularly with star running back LeSean McCoy’s…

There were a couple of blowouts, a few tight wins for the Cowboys and Raiders, but all in all, it was another so-so week in the NFL. One thing was pretty clear, though, the 2016 draft class game to play. Owners enjoyed big games from two second-year QBs, and Travis Kelce even surprised us with an imaginary potato sack race in the end zone. Fantasy wise, some of you will now hate A.J. Green, while others fall further in…

Fantasy Football: Week 2 Running Back Matchup Report

Last week I came right out of the gate in midseason form when I suggested fantasy owners should sit Kareem Hunt based on a difficult matchup. I guess the good news is there’s only one way to go from here. Aside from Hunt having one of the best games we’ve ever seen from a running back in fantasy, there were several other notable takeaways from Week 1. David Johnson, fantasy’s consensus No. 1 pick, is out 2-3 months as he will be having surgery to repair a dislocated wrist. His absence and the emergence of Tarik Cohen and…
