Fantasy Football: Week 8 Quarterback Rankings

We had a big week for Quarterbacks in Week 7 with some huge statistical games. Seems like we are seeing inflated stats at the position this year more than ever. Of course, we had our let down games, some were just a product of bad luck, others we really need to start questioning their play. We will take all things into account in the Week 8 Quarterback Rankings.

Week 8 Quarterback Rankings

We have another 4 teams on bye in Week 8. Fantasy managers will be without two of the best QBs in fantasy as Kyler Murray, Deshaun Watson, Gardner Minshew, and Kyle Allen will all be on bye. Luckily for us, there are enough good options to go around this week. Consistency, as well as great matchups and expected game flow, have vaulted a couple of usual streamers into high-end starters in the Week 8 Quarterback Rankings.

We went with Carson Wentz as a top 12 QB in Week 7 and that worked out. He has been as consistent as it gets from a fantasy perspective over the last five games, I expect that to continue against the worst defense we have seen in a while, the Dallas Cowboys. Wentz got it done without his top weapons, while he might get a couple of big offensive pieces back in Week 8, I don’t expect it to matter. Wentz comes in at his highest ranking of QB5 on the week, fire him up as he headlines my Week 8 Quarterback Rankings.

On an opposite note, after the last two weeks, an adjustment had to be made to the ranking of Josh Allen. The Bills need to make some adjustments themselves, as Allen and this offense have been completely figured out as of late. Failing to score a touchdown against the Jets was enough to warrant a drop from a sure-fire top play at quarterback to my QB9 for Week 8, his lowest ranking of the season. The Patriots defense isn’t what it was in 2019, but it is still a good defense overall. Temper your usual expectations, but Josh Allen’s rushing floor and overall upside still land him in the top 10.
