🔥🔥🔥 Gameweek 6 Player Rankings: Hot List 🔥🔥🔥

Adam Webster

Position:  Defender

Team:  Brighton

Ownership:  3%

Average Score Last 5 Games:  1.75 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures:  new (A), che (A), TOT (H), ast (A), EVE (H)

What’s Changed?:  This is more of a preemptive inclusion to the Hot Player Rankings for Webster!  The summer signing has started the last two Premier League games for Brighton and looks set to stay in the side.  Webster scored poorly against Manchester City (but don’t all defenders playing against them?!), and followed this up with a 6.25 score against Burnley in Gameweek 5.  The former Bristol City defender won four aerials and gained two interceptions en route to this score.  We think he’s only going to get better for Brighton and is one to snap up now and beat your fellow managers to!  @DraftGenie highlighted Webster in his Gameweek 6 Waiver Wire Targets earlier in the week, and we’re 100% backing him up with this selection.

Christian Atsu

Position:  Midfielder

Team:  Newcastle United

Ownership:  31%

Average Score Last 5 Games:  16.33 PPG (!!!!!)

Next 5 Fixtures:  BRI (H), lei (A), MUN (H), che (A), WOL (H)

What’s Changed?: This Chap is on absolute fire at the moment!  After sitting out the first two games of the season, Atsu was given a chance in the Newcastle side in Gameweek 3 and hasn’t looked back.  The Ghanaian winger has scored 49 points in the last three Gameweeks, which is an average of 16.33 points per game!  Somehow his ownership is still at a lowly 31%.  Snap him up immediately if you still can… he’s facing Brighton this weekend!  During the last three Gameweeks, Atsu has gained two assists, nine key passes, and eight successful dribbles.  We actually benched him for the game against Liverpool in Gameweek 5, but he came away with a huge 19 points!  That’s the last time we bench Atsu!

Sign Atsu immediately if you still can… if he can sustain anywhere near this kind of form, he’s going to be a great asset to any side over the coming weeks and months.  Atsu is the key man from these Gameweek 6 Player Rankings!

Callum Wilson

Position:  Forward

Team:  Bournemouth

Ownership:  99%

Average Score Last 5 Games:  14.3 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures:  sot (A), WHU (H), ars (A), NOR (H), wat (A)

What’s Changed?Wilson has started this season on terrific form, with six attacking returns from the five games so far.  The last four games have resulted in double-digit returns, and his average PPG of 14.3 is up there with the best!  If you drafted Wilson, bravo to you.  The Englishman looks set to continue his good form, and Bournemouth is playing very well.  The 3-0 victory over Everton would have been especially pleasing for Eddie Howe.  Come the end of the season Wilson is likely to be a Top 10 Forward.  Make some trade offers for him if you need an upgrade on your forward-line.  Perhaps offering the likes of Buendia/Mount + Jimenez/Richarlison for Wilson could be worthwhile…?

  • Moussa DjenpoSofiane Boufal (12% / 9%, Midfielder, Southampton)

❄️❄️❄️ Gameweek 6 Player Rankings: Cold List ❄️❄️❄️

These are Fantasy EPL players that have fallen in our rankings.  This may be due to poor form, they have been dropped from the best eleven, they have suffered an injury, or received a suspension.  It’s time to consider dropping these players from your squads!

Kyle Walker

Position:  Defender

Team:  Manchester City

Ownership:  99%

Average Score Last 5 Games:  4.9

Next 5 Fixtures:  WAT (H), eve (A), WOL (H), cry (A), AST (H)

What’s Changed?Kyle Walker has not had a good start to his Premier League campaign.  The Englishman has been dropped from the international squad, and is playing fairly poorly for Manchester City.  His Fantrax scoring statistics from the last three games are also pretty grim reading.  Between Gamweeek 3 and Gameweek 5, Walker has scored a grand total of 0.5 points from 269 minutes of football!  Yes, Walker is an experienced ELP player.  Yes, Walker starts for the current EPL Champions.  But no, he isn’t scoring well at all…

RecommendationWe recommend trying to trade Walker out to a manager who hasn’t realised how badly he’s been scoring!  Walker has lots of ‘big name’ appeal, and therefore one of your fellow managers would probably take him off your hands.  With recent injuries to Laporte and Stones, we’re not expecting the Manchester City defence to play well over the next month or so.

So who to target for a trade with Walker?  Firstly try and tempt the owners of similar big name players who have scored poorly, such as Chilwell or Pereira (these two will improve their scoring!).  Or alternatively aim for a steady scoring centre-back such as Duffy or Vestergaard.  Owning consistent defenders such as those will serve you much better than Walker!

Miguel Almiron

Position:  Midfielder

Team:  Newcastle United

Ownership:  61%

Average Score Last 5 Games:  2.2 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures:  BRI (H), lei (A), MUN (H), che (A), WOL (H)

What’s Changed?: Literally the opposite to the previously featured Newcastle midfielder Atsu… Almiron has been shocking so far this season.  The Paraguay international midfielder took the Fantrax community somewhat by storm back in February, as he gained a huge 24 points during his first start for Newcastle, after arriving during the winter transfer window.  Almiron bagged three further double-digit returns but ultimately tailed off from the initial quality performance.  Now in his first full season in the Premier League, it’s pretty clear that Almiron isn’t up to the task.  The midfielder has been very poor so far this season, with 11 points gained from his five games so far!

Some key statistics: 0 goals, 0 assists, 2 key passes, 0 shots on target, 6 successful dribbles.  Awful from a player with 61% ownership, and an ADP of 53rd.

RecommendationDrop him immediatelyAlmiron somehow still has 61% Fantrax ownership, but he doesn’t warrant anywhere near this.  If you’re still holding onto the Paraguayan midfielder in the hope that he’ll re-find his initial Premier League form, please stop.  He’s very unlikely to make an impact over the coming weeks and months.  Swap Almiron out for his Newcastle colleague, Chrisitan Atsu – he’s shown so much more in his three appearances this season.

Wilfried Zaha

Position:  Forward

Team:  Crystal Palace

Ownership:  99%

Average Score Last 5 Games:  4.6 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures:  WOL (H), NOR (H), whu (A), MCI (H), ars (A)

What’s Changed?:  This season has not gone well for Zaha so far.  The Crystal Palace forward has an average PPG of just 4.6 and has zero attacking returns.  The Ivorian is obviously a very talented player, but his statistics, and therefore Fantrax points, have been pretty bad.  Successful dribbles have pretty much been the only source of points for Zaha so far.  Very disappointing from a second/third-round draft pick.

Recommendation:  Well, at this stage Zaha has very low trade value, so if you wanted to trade him out, you wouldn’t be getting an equivalent player back.  Therefore, we recommend holding onto Zaha.  Crystal Palace face Wolves and Norwich next, so surely Zaha will bag some decent points!  If he doesn’t, it may be time to trade him away for a mid-tier forward.

Gameweek 6 Player Rankings: More Cold Players!

  • Moise Kean (85%, Forward, Everton) – Bear with him while he’s settling in
  • Ayoze Perez (82%, Forward, Leicester) – He’s droppable at this stage, as long as there’s a decent replacement available
  • Olivier Giroud (43%, Forward, Chelsea) – Drop him immediately
  • Andre Gray (33%, Forward, Watford) – Consider dropping him, depending on free agents
  • Lucas Moura (98%, Midfielder, Tottenham) – Not in the best XI, consider dropping him depending on the free-agent pool
  • Jack Grealish (97%, Midfielder, Aston Villa) – Not hitting the heights we expected. Stick with him for now, or try and trade him out
  • Diogo Jota (93%, Midfielder, Wolves) – Very low trade value. You have to stick with him and ride this one out
  • Harry Wilson (72%, Midfielder, Bournemouth) – Very goal dependent, consider trading him to a less informed manager
  • Leandro Trossard (62%, Midfielder, Brighton) – Currently injured, but keep hold of him
  • Seamus Coleman (97%, Defender, Everton) – Scoring poorly, and Sidibe is waiting in the wings… be very careful with Coleman, he may have to be ditched soon
  • Nathan Ake (80%, Defender, Bournemouth) – High ownership, but low scores.  Drop him
  • David Luiz (74%, Defender, Arsenal) – Drop him. Scoring poorly and Arsenal conceding
  • Joe Gomez (59%, Defender, Liverpool) – Not playing, possibly hold him and see what happens now the Champions League is starting. Matip looks to be first choice though
  • John Lundstram (49%, Defender, Sheffield United) – The early season favorite has tailed off, drop him
