Fantasy Basketball Weekend Streamers May 7-9

In many leagues, fantasy owners are fighting for the Holy Grail right now. Championship weekend is here! Rules are tossed out the window. It’s all about games played and finding the best starts left to cap off the week. The Atlanta Hawks have no games left for this week meaning it’s been nice knowing ya Hawks!  The Nets, Warriors, Pacers, Clippers, Grizzlies, Bucks, Raptors, and Wizards all just play one game, so we won’t be streaming from these teams either. Here are a few players set for a great weekend of basketball and good luck to everyone!

What?! You’re not hosting your fantasy basketball league on Fantrax? Inconceivable! Check out all the features of Fantrax Fantasy Basketball Commissioner and we’re pretty sure you’ll come around to our way of thinking.

Weekend Streamers

R.J. Hampton, PG – Orlando Magic (28% owned)

It’s R.J. Hampton time in Orlando baby! With nothing to play for and half the team out Friday night and beyond, the arrow is pointing sky-high for Hampton. The Sophomore Hampton is on a tear right now averaging 17.3 points, 8 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.0 blocks over his last three games. Can’t ask for much more than that folks! The Magic also have two juicy matchups against the Hornets and Timberwolves so sign me up! I’m ordering some popcorn with a couple of tasty beverages and staying at the Hampton Inn all weekend baby! Hampton is going to put on a show!

Mo Bamba, C – Orlando Magic (49% owned)

Staying in the magical world of Disney. Mo Bamba is another must-add if available. The key players that remain out for Bamba are Wendell Carter Jr. and Chuma Okeke who are expected to miss the remainder of the season. Bamba is reaping the rewards with back-to-back 15 rebound games! On top of that, Bamba posted 20.5 points, 1.5 steals, and 2.5 blocks during his two-game domination. That will be a 4-game dominance after this weekend. There’s a new Tower of Terror in Orlando…It’s Mo Bamba!

*Not sure if the Tower of Terror ride at MGM Studios still exists but it was the scariest ride I’ve ever been on as a kid.

KJ Martin Jr., SF – Houston Rockets (17% owned)

Another player, another team whose season is over. No need to fret though this weekend Houston. KJ Martin has got us covered! Martin was awesome on Wednesday posting 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. The Rockets are dealing with tons of injuries and when Kevin Porter sits, Martin takes over as the primary scorer putting up 18 points in his last game without Porter as well. Even the red-hot Kelly Olynyk is questionable Friday. We might get some fireworks with this one. Add away!

Isaac Okoro, SG/SF – Cleveland Cavaliers (14% owned)

Isaac Okoro was brilliant during Tuesday’s overtime loss to the Suns going off for a career-high 32 points while adding 6 assists, 3 rebounds, and 3 3PM. Okoro played a whopping 47 minutes and suffered some minor cramping in his calf so it’s no wonder he had an off-game Wednesday with just seven points on the back-to-back set. With a day of off to rest I expect big things from Okoro this weekend especially with Darius Garland already ruled out Friday. The rookie Okoro scored double-digit points in six-straight games before Wednesday’s showing so don’t hesitate to look his way.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, PG/SG – Los Angeles Lakers (18% owned)

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is set for a starring role once again this weekend so get your popcorn ready! LeBron James remains MIA from the team and Anthony Davis left Thursday’s game after getting banged up so is likely to remain out of the lineup Friday night. Dennis Schroder is also out due to health protocols so it’s KCP’s time to shine. Caldwell-Pope was awesome in a few games in April when the Lakers were dealing with numerous injuries popping off for 29 points and 25 respectively. A 15/5/5 is definitely within reach so I’m rolling out the red carpet for KCP this weekend baby!
