Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Week 14

Welcome to week 14 of the fantasy basketball season! We’ve made it to the halfway point so well done on all the hard work put in this year especially on the waiver wire! It’s always crucial to keep up with the latest trends and see who’s ready to make key contributions to your fantasy teams going forward. Here are a few players who are on the rise and set for a big second half…

Week 14 Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire

*Must add if available – Walker Kessler, Malcolm Brogdon

Trey Murphy III, SF/PF – New Orleans Pelicans (51% rostered)

Trey Murphy III has had quite the season thus far and his 51% roster level is just way too low. Murphy has been a waiver wire gem producing value all season long. The sophomore has produced top-40 value on the year and is just at 51%!? Bananas! A few cold stretches here and there have kept it low, but the 22-year-old continues to get the job done. With Zion Williamson back on the injury shelf you need to head to waiver wire and add TM III. Murphy is averaging 17 points, 4 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 1.0 blocks, and 2.0 3PTM in back-to-back games seeing minutes in the thirties. Murphy has scored between 14 and 23 points in seven of his past twelve games now while contributing in rebounds, steals, blocks and three-pointers. Let’s keep things easy in the Big Easy. Trey Murphy is a must add for me!

T.J. McConnell, PG – Indiana Pacers (43% rostered)

T.J. McConnell was magical on Saturday night flirting with a triple-double dropping 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 11 assists while adding two steals. The veteran guard has now posted at least 13 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and two steals in three straight games! Sign me up for 7 & 7’s all day long folks! During that span, he’s averaging 13.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 2.0 steals. Star Tyrese Haliburton is out at least two weeks, so McConnell is set for a ton of minutes in the following weeks. Great add!

T.J. Warren, SF/PF – Brooklyn Nets (33% rostered)

It’s a T.J. theme here on the week 14 waiver wire! Enter T.J. Warren. Nets All-Star Kevin Durant is expected to miss a month with an MCL sprain so there are minutes to be had! Warren has walked the walk in the past being a key contributor for the Suns and Pacers and the veteran gets an amazing opportunity here. Warren was great the other night dropping 20 points with 2 3PTM and he now has scored double-digit points in three straight games. There are a few players such as Royce O’Neale and Joe Harris that can be solid adds but I’m going with the most scoring potential here and adding T.J. Warren.

Norman Powell, SG/SF – Los Angeles Clippers (52% rostered)

Norman Powell is heating up in LaLa land baby! Powell is averaging a cool 20 points per game over his last four and also chipping in with 4.3 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.8 3PTM. Powell has scored at least double-digit points in 17 of his past 19 games so he’s done it super consistently now and deserves our attention! Also, it doesn’t hurt that Paul George and Kawhi Leonard take time off from time to time and that’s where Powell goes off for his 27 and 32-point nights. Add away.
