Gameweek 8 Waiver Wire Targets

Here we outline Fantasy EPL Gameweek 8 Waiver Wire Targets that are 40% rostered or below on Fantrax.  These players will also have a favorable run of fixtures upcoming, so they could perform very well over the upcoming period!

Hwang Hee-Chan

Position: Forward

Team: Wolves

Rostered: 24%

Next Fixture: Aston Villa (Away)

Prospects: Hwang scored two goals in Wolves recent victory, and is probably a lock in the XI for quite some time. Wolves are still in their favourable run of games, and Hwang could see quite a few more returns in that time. No one knew the role the forward would play given the depth of attackers at Wolves, but surely he will be one of the first names on the team sheet for some time. I would consider Hwang a FWD2 over the course of the season with low end FWD1 upside in easy matchups.

Verdict: I would use a higher-end waiver claim or 30-40% of my remaining FAB on Hwang.

Michael Olise

Position: Midfielder

Team: Crystal Palace

Ownership: 31%

Next Fixture: Arsenal (Away)

Prospects: Olise has arrived in the Premier League, scoring a crucial goal in the draw against Leicester. Olise could easily be Palace’s best fantasy asset over the rest of the season and will be key to their survival. The fact he is classified as a midfielder makes him that much more valuable. I would consider Olise a solid MID3/4 in most matchups, especially with his attacking upside.

Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver claim or about 20-30% of my remaining FAB on Olise.

Dan Burn

Position: Defender

Team: Brighton

Ownership: 3%

Next Fixture: Norwich (Away)

Prospects: Burn had a great showing in the draw against Arsenal, and I would be shocked to see him dropped for the game against Norwich. Norwich are probably the worst team in the Premier League, and Brighton should see a clean sheet here. Burn would have the potential for another 15+ score with a clean sheet and his threat from set-pieces. Brighton has been one of the surprise teams of this season, and now is the time to get in some of their assets.

Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or about 10-15% of my remaining FAB on Burn.
