Ben Chilwell

Position:  Defender

Team:  Chelsea

Ownership:  100%

Form Last 30 Days:  24 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures:  @BUR, SHU, @NEW, TOT, LEE

What’s Changed?:  Chelsea’s new fullback has taken to his new team like duck to water. Seemingly the only constant in Frank Lampard’s struggle to find balance in a team still very much in the works. The former Leicester man racked up a goal and 2 assists, 9 key passes, and 2 clean sheets in the last month and with the Mendy establishing himself as a goalkeeper who can actually make saves, the future is bright for the Englishman’s prospects.

Allan Saint-Maximin

Position:  Midfielder

Team:  Newcastle United

Ownership:  99 %

Form Last 30 Days:  17.67 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures:  EVE, @SOU, CHE, @CRY, @AVL

What’s Changed?:  After a shaky start to the season he has really turned on the flair in October. Two 10+ scores with no attacking returns is the amazing floor that we have all expected of the headband-wearing Frenchman. Adding a monster 27.5 score against Burnley with a goal and assist rounds out a very productive month for ASM. If he can keep healthy, his production will only go higher during the upcoming fixture run.

Callum Wilson

Position:  Forward

Team:  Newcastle United

Ownership:  92%

Form Last 30 Days:  17.83 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures: EVE, @SOU, CHE, @CRY, @AVL

What’s Changed?:  Two Newcastle players in highlight after a month where the team won one, drew one, lost one? Absolutely! Peak Wilson is back! Scoring 2 and assisting 2 in the last 3 games is nothing new for him, but (and promise me you will not get too excited about this) he is putting up decent ghost points over this 3 game stretch. 5+ PPG is nothing to write home about, but if he keeps this up, you could be looking at a solid FWD2 for the rest of the season.

Gameweek 7 Player Rankings: More Hot Players!

Fantasy EPL Defenders

  • Aaron Creswell (83%, West Ham) – 3 Assist, 11 KP, set piece duty. Schedule gets easier. Get him in if you can.
  • Matty Cash (74%, Aston Villa) – Possesses a solid base with a good chance for some attacking returns.
  • Romain Saiss (96%, Wolves) – 12.5 during October. The new Boly?
  • James Tarkowski (93%, Burnley) – The Fantarx favorite is back to what he does best. Aerials galore and helping solidify that Burnley D.
  • Joao Cancelo (92%, Manchester City) – The only City defender worth owning. 10+points in both his matches, Mendy injured, he should be nailed on. Should be.

Fantasy EPL Midfielders

  • Ross Barkley (87%, Aston Villa) – On fire since his move to Villa.
  • James Rodriguez (91%, Everton) – Continuing his magnificent start.
  • James Ward-Prowse (99%, Southampton) – Finally back in the goals. Southampton looking solid at the back and going forward
  • Bukayo Saka (92%, Arsenal) – Is he nailed? No. But he is hungry and exciting. Put him in, if he starts.
  • Tom Cairney (42%, Fulham) – Questionable in real life, a beast in Fantrax. 8 KP in the last 2 games.

Fantasy EPL Forwards

  • Mohamed Salah (100%, Liverpool) – Obviously.
  • Son (100%, Spurs) – Just keep scoring. Just keep scoring.
  • Danny Ings (100%, Southampton) – Southampton has turned it up a notch since the Spurs defeat.
  • Patrick Bamford (78%, Leeds) – Bielsa has a side full of attacking threats and PatBam is the “crown jewel”.
  • Ollie Watkins (90%, Aston Villa) –  Destroyed the Champions with a hat trick, has been solid in all his starts.

❄️❄️❄️ Gameweek 7 Player Rankings: Cold List ❄️❄️❄️

These are Fantasy EPL players that have fallen in our rankings.  This may be due to poor form, they have been dropped from the best 11, they have suffered an injury, or received a suspension.  It’s time to consider dropping these players from your squads!

Cesar Azpilicueta

Position:  Defender

Team:  Chelsea

Ownership: 90%

Form Last 30 Days:  4 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures: @BUR, SHU, @NEW, TOT, LEE

What’s Changed?:  Chelsea is not very good at defending. Club captain Azpilicueta’s spot has been a question mark before a ball has even been kicked. Is he a fullback in a 4-man defense? Is he a center back in a 5-man defense? Unfortunately, we still do not know the answers to these questions. All we know is. he is and will be rotated and even if he plays, he still does not score well.

Recommendation:  Fantasy LEGEND @ChuckBoothSport has been vocal about him being droppable, having himself dropped him in all the leagues he had Azpilicueta. Before dropping him, I would try to trade him to the Reece James owner, advertising him as a potential safety net if James does not start.

Bernardo Silva

Position:  Midfielder

Team:  Manchester City

Ownership:  99%

Form Last 30 Days:  3.83 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures:  @SHU, LIV, @TOT, BUR, FUL

What’s Changed?:  Where to begin with City assets? Ranked the lowest out of all top City players and has emphatically proven why. Replacing David Silva was never going to be easy and converting Bernardo from an excellent winger to a mediocre center midfielder is not going to be one of  Pep’s proud moments. Silva’s positioning and lack of involvement in attack mean that if he sticks to playing in the center of the field scoring around 4-5 PPG is something we might have to get used to.

Recommendation:  At this point, I am not sure he has any trade value. If you can get a DEF2 for him, I would trade him out, otherwise, he should be held in the hope that with all the injuries, he gets a chance to impress in the front 3.

Willian

Position:  Forward

Team:  Arsenal

Ownership: 97%

Form Last 30 Days:  3 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures:  @MUN, AVL, @LEE, WOL, @TOT

What’s Changed?:  Arsenal look very bad in attack. Willian has not had a shot on target since GW1, he only had 1 successful cross and 2 successful dribbles all season. Those are absolutely abysmal numbers. Arteta has clearly prioritized fixing his defense ahead of his offense and the front 3 are struggling to get anything going. with Pepe, Lacazette, Willian, and Nketiah vying for one of the 2 spots available there is going to be a lot of rotation for the rest of the season in the Arsenal attack. Willian has also picked up an injury in training. Although not considered to be serious, his spot is well and truly under threat.

Recommendation: Just like with Silva, I am not seeing a lot of trade value to be had when trading out Willian. Targeting Arsenal fans for trades could be beneficial and looking for a solid MID3 in return could be the way to go. McNeil, Barkley, Bowen would represent good value. I would not be against a trade for forwards ranked in our HOT section: Wilson or Bamford.

Gameweek 7 Player Rankings: More Cold Players!

Fantasy EPL Defenders

  • Ruben Dias (70%, Manchester City) – Criminally highly owned, just like any City defender not named Joao should be dropped.
  • Enda Stevens (61%, Sheffield United) – Sheffield United look to be in a serious sophomore slump and at this point all defensive assists are droppable.
  • Kieran Tierney (88%, Arsenal) – Not producing as a center back in a back 5, look out for lineups and only play him if he is playing wingback/fullback.

Fantasy EPL Midfielders

  • Youri Tielemans (98%, Leicester) – Back to his last year’s self.
  • Joao Moutinho (74%, Wolves) – Wolves are looking for a settled formation and Moutinho is clearly paying the price.
  • Mason Mount (99%, Chelsea) – With the new signings healthy, there might not be a place for Mount in the starting lineup.

Fantasy EPL Forwards

  • Mason Greenwood (92%, Manchester United) – Disciplinary issues, Cavani as competition. it doesn’t look good.
  • Sergio Aguero (100%, Manchester City) – Rushed back from injury only to get injured again.
  • Adama Traore (96%, Wolves) – Nuno seems to like bringing him on to win games against tired defenses. It might be working in real life, but fantasy managers are furious. Do the right thing, Nuno.
