Gameweek 5 Waiver Wire Targets

Here we outline Fantasy EPL Gameweek 4 Waiver Wire Targets that have 40% ownership or below on Fantrax.  These players will also have a favorable run of fixtures upcoming, so they could perform very well over the upcoming period!

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Position: Defender

Team: Arsenal

Ownership: 24%

Next Fixture: Burnley (Home)

Prospects: The new Japanese defender hit the ground running in Arsenal’s first win of the season. Only way is up from here, right? I am not sure there is a more ideal opponent to face than Burnley if you are hoping to grow in confidence. (We’ll just ignore last season’s result in the same fixture). 7 Aerials against Norwich could offer some insight into how he will amass the bulk of his points against Burnley as well.

Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver claim or 5-10% of my remaining FAB on Tomiyasu.

Marcal

Position: Defender

Team: Wolves

Ownership: 28%

Next Fixture: Brentford (Home)

Prospects: Wolves have finally scored a goal!! It has never been about not creating chances, or not being attacking enough and now that the monkey is off their back, the goals will come flowing. Marcal has been ever-present on the left wing this season and he provided 2 assists in GW4 to finally dispel any Ait-Nouri hope. It is Marcal’s spot and the next few gameweeks could provide ample opportunity for assists and clean sheets to go in hard for the Brazilian defender.

Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver claim or about 5-8% of my remaining FAB on Marcal.

Odssonne Edouard

Position: Forward

Team: Crystal Palace

Ownership: 37%

Next Fixture: Liverpool (Home)

Prospects: Safe to say Edouard hit the ground running on his substitute cameo debut for his new team. 2 goals in 5 minutes will have those managers who rostered him purring and those who haven’t clamoring to get him. Edouard should quickly make the starting spot his and will offer an exciting new wrinkle in the Palace attack.

Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver claim or about 15-25% of my remaining FAB on Edouard.
