Gameweek 31 Waiver Wire Targets

Here we outline Fantasy EPL Gameweek 31 Waiver Wire Targets that are 40% rostered or below on Fantrax.  These players will also have a favorable run of fixtures upcoming, so they could perform very well over the upcoming period!

The following teams have DGW fixtures in GW31:

  • Everton – WHU, BUR
  • Burnley – MCI, EVE

Ben Godfrey

Position: Defender

Team: Everton

Rostered: 11%

Next Fixture: West Ham (Away), Burnley (Away)

Prospects: Godfrey has started and played 90′ in the last 2 games, collecting a CS against Newcastle for a moderately impressive 10.25. Everton is a mess currently, but other DGW options, especially of Burnley include a looming Man City game which I would be hesitant to include in my lineup. At some point, Lampard will surely try to change it up in defense, but Godfrey has been playing well enough to probably be safe. That said this is a risky play as without any CSs in the 2 games, he could play 180 and get below 6 points. I wouldn’t bench any reliable performers for him.

Verdict: I would use any waiver claim or about 0-1% of my remaining FAB on Godfrey.

Josh Brownhill

Position: Midfielder

Team: Burnley

Rostered: 22%

Next Fixture: Man City (Home), Everton (Home)

Prospects: The second coming is nigh! Repent sinners. The last time Burnley had a double gameweek Josh Brownhill, from that fateful day referred to as the “Brown God” came up with a cool 48.5 points. While I do not expect that momentous feat to be repeated, I still like Brownhill for this week and for the double upcoming in GW33.

VerdictBrownhill should cost you 0-3% of your FAB.

Anthony Elanga

Position: Forward

Team: Man U

Ownership: 19%

Next Fixture: Leicester (Home)

Prospects:  Elanga is a moderately exciting prospect for this week, but he has been playing well when given the chance in what can be considered his breakout season. The Leicester defense will offer up opportunities that he could capitalize on. However, as his spot is not nailed, I would not put a lot of eggs in this basket.

Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or about 0% of my remaining FAB on Elanga.
