🔥🔥🔥 Gameweek 29 Player Rankings: Hot List 🔥🔥🔥

These are Fantasy EPL Draft players that have risen in our rankings!  These are potential free agents on good form or established players that you should be looking to trade-in.  Keep an eye on these players, and bring them into your Fantrax squad if you can!

Gary Cahill

Position:  Defender

Team:  Crystal Palace

Ownership:  8%

Form Last 30 Days:  10.25 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures:  WAT (H), bou (A), liv (A), BUR (H), lei (A)

What’s Changed?:  It’s been an impressive couple of weeks for Cahill who has now been involved in five clean sheets this season.  The last two clean sheets have come in the last two Gameweek’s, and Cahill has been absolutely superb; picking up a Man of the Match award at Brighton in Gameweek 28.  Cahill has registered five double-digit scores in the last eight Gameweek’s, which is impressive considering two of those double-digit scores came in a defeat to Sheffield United and having shipped two goals against Manchester City.  Draft Premier League managers should be taking note of Cahill, who has three fixtures coming up with potential high points on offer!

Ondrej Duda

Position:  Midfielder

Team:  Norwich

Ownership:  47%

Form Last 30 Days:  7.33 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures:  shu (A), SOU (H), EVE (H), ars (A), BHA (H)

What’s Changed?:  Norwich is blessed with outstanding Fantrax scoring midfielders, and Duda is one of them!  In only six appearances for the Canaries Duda has amassed 61 Fantrax points at an average of 10.2 points per gameweek.  As a Norwich City fan, I’ve seen Duda play live in four of the six appearances, he is a creative player.  It is also very clear that Norwich, who is very accomplished in attacking football, looks set on using Duda in the number 10 role for the remainder of the season.  So whilst Duda might have had a couple of quiet Gameweek’s (GW26 and GW27); he looks back on song picking up a huge 16 points against Leicester for producing no attacking returns.  If Duda is a free agent in your Draft Premier League; pick him up!

Christian Benteke

Position:  Forward

Team:  Crystal Palace

Ownership:  40%

Form Last 30 Days:  13.33 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures: WAT (H), bou (A), liv (A), BUR (H), lei (A)

What’s Changed?:  We are not joking around, this is not a drill!!  If Benteke is available, go and pick him up immediately chaps.  In the last six Gameweek’s Benteke has registered five double-digit scores, and his only single-figure score was a pretty decent nine pointer.  It is also pretty clear that Palace manager, Roy Hodgson is sticking with Benteke as his focal point, leading the attack from the start of the last six fixtures.  Despite scoring so well, Benteke has actually registered only one attacking return, a goal in the Gameweek 26 defeat to Everton.  But it is the ghost points awarded in Fantrax scoring that makes Benteke such a desirable asset.  With Watford, Bournemouth, and Leicester coming up, we fully expect Benteke to be able to dominate the defense aerially so more ghost points will be on the way!

Crystal Palace also has a guaranteed Blank Gameweek 31 fixture!

❄️❄️❄️ Gameweek 29 Player Rankings: Cold List ❄️❄️❄️

These are Fantasy EPL players that have fallen in our rankings.  This may be due to poor form, they have been dropped from the best 11, they have suffered an injury, or received a suspension.  It’s time to consider dropping these players from your squads!

Aymeric Laporte

Position:  Defender

Team:  Manchester City

Ownership: 66%

Form Last 30 Days:  6.75 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures:  mun (A), BUR (H), che (A), LIV (H), sou (A)

What’s Changed?:  It was on the FPLkickaround podcast that Chap 2 questioned whether he would go out and pick up Laporte.  There were two reasons for Chap 2 not wanting to rush to sign the Manchester City defender: 1 – City’s defense has been so poor this season, there were questions raised as to whether Laporte would make much of a difference.  To his credit, he did.  Point 2 – Laporte had been out for an injury for a long period, and what happens to a player after a prolonged period on the sidelines; typically they pick up another minor setback soon after returning.  Case in point, Laporte is set for another month on the sidelines!

Recommendation:  We’d recommend dropping Laporte.  It is the business end of the season and there are plenty of other options available.

Leandro Trossard

Position:  Midfielder

Team:  Brighton

Ownership:  65%

Form Last 30 Days:  2.5 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures:  wol (A), ARS (H), lei (A), MUN (H), nor (A)

What’s Changed?:  An absolute colossal Fantrax player Trossard could be.  The frustration that surrounds Trossard in Draft Premier League is huge; with some weeks Trossard looking unplayable and others, he looks decidedly average.  It isn’t completely the fault of the player, as the Brighton manager, Graham Potter, continues to persist with the wild rotation.  This must have an impact on the players and Trossard in particular looks like a player who hasn’t been able to build any momentum.  Regardless, Brighton is one of those sides who whilst nobody is talking about just yet, could slip into a relegation battle.  They need to start getting the best out of Trossard and the need the best out of him soon.

Recommendation:  We’d recommend sticking by Trossard for now, although picking up a consistent midfielder like; Saiss (32%), Capoue (35%), or McArthur (69%) is tempting if you need guaranteed starters!

Gerard Deulofeu

Position:  Forward

Team:  Watford

Ownership: 94%

Form Last 30 Days:  4.17 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures:  cry (A), LEI (H), bur (A), SOU (H), che (A)

What’s Changed?Deulofeu had been on fire through December and into the New Year, but the last couple of Gameweek’s had brought some low scores.  Whilst these low scores were not horrendous and we certainly wouldn’t have been promoting the need to drop Deulofeu from your squad; his form would have warranted keeping a close eye on.  However, the news broke late last week, just before the Gameweek 28 fixtures took place that Deulofeu will be ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Recommendation: This is a pretty obvious one, you need to drop Deulofeu straight away.
