Gameweek 21 Start and Sit

Whether you’re an obsessed EPL fan like our Fantrax HQ team, or a casual player new to the world of Fantasy EPL, you know to start your attacking players against relegation-threatened sides. We’re not going to waste your time dealing with the obvious! The goal of this article is to delve into notable players across each Fantrax position and let you know if you should be starting or sitting those players.

Our format is as follows: We will be choosing 2 different teams. One will be our starts of the week, made up of non-obvious, low-rostered players. The other will be our sits of the week, made up of highly rostered, normally started players. We will keep track of how each team performs in next week’s article for full transparency.

We highly recommend keeping an eye out for tweets from Ben Crellin, who does a fantastic job of predicting when EPL double gameweeks could occur. With so many matches postponed due to Covid-19, making the most of the situation and beating your rivals to low rostered % players with two games in a week will serve you extremely well. Now let’s see the teams!

In goal, I have to pick Fraser Forster after his monster performance in GW20; 21.5 points without a clean sheet! In defense, I’m backing Jan Bednarek against Newcastle, Ben Davies against Watford, and Ezri Konsa versus Brentford. Moving to midfield and Christian Norgaard gets the nod after more steady performances recently. Hopefully, he’s been dropped by a fellow manager after his recent suspension. Manuel Lanzini and Yves Bissouma also get the nod after good recent form, and Will Hughes completes the midfield. He should be on set-piece duty once again with Gallagher likely to miss out. Armando Broja, Joelinton, and Anthony Gordon are my low rostered % forwards this week, after showing good form in recent weeks. Joelinton especially, he’s been Newcastle’s best player!

In goal, I’m going with Edouard Mendy, as I’m backing Liverpool to score against Chelsea and his save % has been declining. My defence is made up of Ruben Dias, Antonio Rudiger, Cesar Azpilicueta, and Ben White. Quite simply I think these four defenders all concede this weekend, and they don’t score that well for ghost points. My midfield is made up of Bernardo Silva, Jadon Sancho, and Kai Havertz. I’m skeptical as to whether these three big name midfielders start this weekend, but in any case, I don’t think they will score very well in their respective fixtures. For forwards, I’m selecting Mason Greenwood, Roberto Firmino, and Raul Jimenez as my big-name players to bench. These are all mainly due to them playing in the final two fixtures of the weekend, and there should be more reliable starters, and points scorers, playing earlier on in the weekend.

Average % Rostered : 96%
