Free Agent Targets

Kiko Femenia

Position: Defender

Team: Watford

Points Per Match: 4.16

Prospects: Watford has a decent run of games after the restart, where they could get a few clean sheets. Femenia will probably start at RB, and could provide both attacking and defensive counting stats for you. With a low PPM, Kiko is probably available on your player pool, and should be considered a DEF3 when he starts.

Tom Cleverley

Position: Midfielder

Team: Watford

Points Per Match: 7.15

Prospects: Sticking with Watford, Cleverley should get a decent number of starts. With Deulofeu out for the season, Cleverley may also get his fair share of set pieces. When he starts he is a solid MID4 with the upside of a MID3. The only game I would be opposed to starting him in is the 2nd last gameweek vs. Manchester City

Naby Keita

Position: Midfielder

Team: Liverpool

Points Per Match: 7.44

Prospects: Liverpool should lock up the title very soon, meaning there will be some rotation. Klopp is a huge fan of Keita and will give him as many minutes as possible before next season. Keita offers something different in his midfield trio and racks up counting stats like a MID2. If Keita is on your player pool I would look to hold him for a few gameweeks and plug him in when he starts.

Joao Cancelo

Position: Defender

Team: Manchester City

Points Per Match: 7.27

Prospects: Walker got himself into the news for the wrong reasons during the lockdown, and could lose his place in the side. Cancelo has played brilliantly when called upon, and racked up points as well. He is easily a DEF1 when he starts, and could see a lot of playtime due to Walker’s poor performances on and off the field.

Scott McTominay

Position: Midfielder

Team: Manchester United

Points Per Match: 8.30

Prospects: McTominay was probably dropped to your league’s free agent pool after his injury, and should be available. We are unsure what combination of midfielders Ole will run out along side Bruno, but Scotty has been keeping in top shape during the lockdown. There is every chance Ole uses him, Pogba, Bruno, and Fred in a diamond behind the duo of Martial and Rashford.

David Brooks

Position: Midfielder

Team: Bournemouth

Points Per Match:0.0

Prospects: Brooks is back in first team training, and should be available for selection in the first gameweek. While he probably won’t start the first 2 games he is still worth a pickup from your free agent pool. If Brooks manages to crack the XI he can be considered a high end MID4 with MID3 upside. With Fraser’s contract situation getting messy, it surely helps Brooks make the XI.

Tanguy Ndombele

Position: Midfielder

Team: Tottenham

Points Per Match: 6.05

Prospects: Ndombele seems to somewhat be back in Mourinho’s good books. While he won’t start all 9 games he will surely get a few starts with Dier, and Dele set for suspensions, and Lo Celso rumored to be injured. When Ndombele starts he fills up the stat sheet quite nicely making him a MID3 who can score goals. If he is a free agent I would look to add him to your bench.

Joelinton

Position: Forward

Team: Newcastle United

Points Per Match: 6.42

Prospects: Joelinton was in terrible form before the lockdown, and was probably dropped to your free agent pool. Newcastle have a nice run of fixtures at the resumption of the EPL, where Joelinton could hit form. He already has looked sharp in some “pre-season” friendlies, and should start most of the games. Joelinton is considered a FWD3 when starting.

Fabian Balbuena

Position: Defender

Team: West Ham

Points Per Match: 7.19

Prospects: Balbuena has been in and out of the lineup all season, but scores well regardless of the result. It is unknown if Moyes will start him, but he is worth a pickup off the free agent pool. He has the upside of a DEF2 especially in friendly matchups due to his high floor. While West Ham defence was poor before the lockdown, it is the hope Moyes can right that ship.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Position: Midfielder

Team: Manchester City

Points Per Match: 6.29

Prospects: Zinchenko is probably a free agent after a few poor fantasy performances before the EPL was suspended. Usually Zinchenko can be considered a MID4 due to his high floor. Even with Mendy fully fit I highly doubt he gets consecutive starts due to his injury history. Zinchenko should be picked up as a handcuff if you own any City assets, or if you need a plug and play midfielder with a high floor.
