Week Two is now in the past and it’s time to take a look into where the College Football DFS money is to be made in Week Three. Week three of CFB DFS won’t feature DFF studs Jonathan Taylor or Jordan Love due to bye weeks but there are certainly some great names still on the board. I began writing this Monday and Draft Kings was already begging users to take their money with some of these deals so be sure to check out these amazing DK deals this week.

WR, Brandon Arconado, Washington State
Price: $8,000
FanDuel knows what’s up with the Washinton State Cougars this week as they take on the miserable Houston Cougars defense but they got the wrong guys getting the big money. Brandon Arconado is the third most expensive Cougar receiver and he’s leading the team in receptions and receiving yards going into a game against the worst defense I’ve ever witnessed. Any of the core receivers for Wazzou are playable this week against Houston but Arconado is cheap and statistically the best.
WR, Jaquarii Roberson, Wake Forest
Price: $5,000
Friday night is a rough night for those lower costing options and you need any and every edge you can get to bring home the big bucks. Kendall Hinton is out this week against North Carolina and, although he hasn’t caught a ball this season, he was named the starting slot receiver in relief of Hinton. There are a lot of targets on the table here and given that Roberson is the starter, there must be something that Clawson likes about him. Let’s get some more money to play with and take a chance on Roberson.

QB, Skylar Thompson, Kansas State
Price: $7,700
Skylar Thompson is a player I’ve never seemed to let go and finally, he has a coach that has full faith in him to lead a team. Since the start of the season, Thompson has looked good through the air and actually has 50+ yards on the ground already as well. The Mississippi State game looked rough before the start of the season but the ULL game revealed just how much they lost last season. Expect a solid outing from Thompson while you ball out with other positions.
RB, Javon Leake, Maryland
Price: $7,000
Maryland’s offense is unmatched right now and has absolutely dominated in every game they’ve played this season. This reign of dominance will continue this week against Temple as the Terps begin the year 3-0. While Anthony McFarland is the premier back for the Terps, Javon Leake has scored double digits in both games this season and a weaker Temple defense should allow more garbage time touches for a third consecutive week.
WR, Maurice Ffrench, Pitt
Price: $8,100
I didn’t want to buy into Maurice Ffrench before the season because I didn’t believe in Kenny Pickett but after such an incredible week two he’s hard to argue against. Ffrench is Pitt’s premier player against Penn State who is on upset alert this week. Expect Ffrench to get 10+ targets this week and enjoy getting him under average player cost.
WR, Demetris Robertson, Georgia
Price: $6,600
I really do not like Georgia wide receivers as fantasy options but sometimes stats are too hard to argue. Demetris Robertson has caught touchdown passes in each of the last two games and should land a third again this week against Arkansas State who isn’t talented enough to stop anyone on this offense. Don’t expect fantasy gold from Robertson but enough to do well for his capitol.

QB, Ross Bowers, California
Price: $8,000
Quarterbacks are almost never cheap on FanDuel but this week they are letting Cal-transfer Ross Bowers slip through the cracks against Nebraska. The Cornhuskers boast one of the worst passing defenses in college football so far this season and Ross Bowers, as well as receiver Tyrice Richie ($7,700), are both smart plays this week because the production is most certainly there. Be sure to pick up JD Spielman too.
QB, Austin Burton, UCLA
Price: $4,000
Yes, I am fully aware that Dorian Thompson-Robinson is still the starting quarterback for the Bruins. The thing is, UCLA has virtually no chance of being in this game this week and Austin Burton will see time on the field in garbage time vs a trash defense or in relief of a struggling DTR against a trash defense. Either way, I have a strong feeling that the DTR train is rapidly coming to a stop and the RS Sophomore is going to make a statement as to why he should start this week against OU.
RB, Greg McCrae, UCF
Price: $7,800
Central Florida has a lot going on this week with Dillon Gabriel beating out Brandon Wimbush for the starting job last week only to have Darriel Mack in the mix again this week. One thing we can count on this week is that Greg McCrae’s explosiveness will be on full display against the Stanford Cardinal. Grab McCrae and Gabriel Davis this week and let the shootout begin.
RB, Elijah Collins, Michigan State
Price: $7,200
Michigan State called an audible this week and are rolling with Freshman running back Elijah Collins as the starting back for the Spartans. Michigan State’s ground game has virtually been extinct for what seems like years now and Collins gave something for the coaches to believe in last week when he topped 100 yards. Arizona State is a big game and the Spartans need for Collins to produce in a big spot to take the pressure off of Brian Lewerke and he comes in for less than $8,000.
TE, Hunter Bryant, Washington
Price: $7,800
Washington hit a bit of a bump last week in a really strange game that ended at around Four O’Clock in the morning but face much easier competition this week against Hawaii. The Rainbow Warriors have a far weaker secondary than California does and Washington will get back on track behind Hunter Bryant who is the best receiver on this roster. Bryant leads the Huskies in receptions and in receiving yards and will land his first touchdown this season against weaker defensive talent. Bryant is relatively cheap and provides a nice addition to any lineup.

QB, Asher O’Hara, Middle Tennesse
Price: $8,400
If you look onto Fantrax’s player rankings today you will see a man by the name of Asher O’Hara is a top ten fantasy quarterback. O’Hara has absolutely outperformed anyone’s standard of play for him this season and he’s playing Duke this week. If O’Hara can put up really strong numbers against Michigan then he’ll definitely produce strong numbers against the Blue Devils who were demolished by Alabama in Week One.
RB, Sewo Olonilua, TCU
Price: $7,700
TCU may not be in the most consistent of places on offense but what you can count on is Sewo Olonilua getting his carries. TCU loves to utilize the ground game and Olonilua is a big bruiser that’s hard to take down. Purdue has very little to offer on the defensive side of the ball and Sewo will have a day so long as the quarterback competition wears on and he stays out of arrest reports.
WR, Demetric Felton, UCLA
Price: $6,200
Demetric Felton filled in for Joshua Kelley week one and then followed his week one performance up by leading the team in receptions. Felton isn’t going to be the top dog this week but he does go up against a weaker Oklahoma defense while playing for an offense that desperately needs his playmaking ability. He’s a safe and cheap option that can open up other doors for you elsewhere.
WR, Mataio Talalemotu, Portland State
Price: $6,200
I really like these FCS guys against G5 teams. I also like an FCS receiver who gets a lot of touches, regardless of who they are playing. Boise State’s defense isn’t exactly lights out and Portland State’s Mataio Talalemotu is the clear beneficiary of the Vikings passing offense. Expect Talalemotu to see a fair share of targets and at least one touchdown as the Vikings attempt to upset the Broncos.

QB, Sam Howell, North Carolina
Price: $5,600
I was digging Sam Howell’s vibes all offseason and in two games he’s already showing FSU just what they missed out on. Howell has 500+ passing yards in his two games against Miami and South Carolina with four scores to his name. He hasn’t been as mobile as I thought he would be but that won’t matter against Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons are scoring 39 points per game while giving up 28 on average and I assure the Tarheels pack more offensive punch than Rice’s wishbone attack. Howell comes in under average cost and is an easy money saver in a shoot out.
RB, Jovonte Williams, North Carolina
Price: $4,600
North Carolina started Michael Carter at running back last week but once again finished with Jovonte Williams leading the team on the ground. Williams caught eyes in the offseason when Phil Longo said he’d be their next big star and given that he’s wracked up 178 yards and a score over his first two contests he’s clearly the best back they’ve got. Wake Forest’s defense gives up a lot of points and all you’re really hoping for from your bargain guy is a score that I can assure you he will deliver.
WR, Dezmon Patmon, Washington State
Price: $5,000
Washington State’s passing offense has always been very potent and Anthony Gordon has continued this tradition with the top-ranked passing offense of 2019 thus far. Although there hasn’t been a clear cut No. 1 receiver for the Cougs this season, Dezmon Patmon has the best yards per reception of their three top targets and is the cheapest. Washington State has a shootout on deck against Houston which leaves plenty of opportunities for Patmon to add to his stellar numbers this season.
WR, Marquez Stevenson, Houston
Price: $5,200
Houston’s offense isn’t what it was last season yet but they have no shortage of playmakers and that includes Marquez Stevenson. Stevenson had a slow debut but he is far and away the top guy for the Houston Cougars this year as he was last year. Stevenson will get a minimum of eight targets against Washington State and comes in $1,000 under the average player price.
WR, Zay Flowers, Boston College
Price: $5,000
It’s hard to believe that I’d actually mention a Boston College wide receiver as a legitimate playmaker but here we are. Zay Flowers had mop-up duty against Richmond and made a statement on the ground. Against Virginia Tech he took multiple carries and again showed off his big-play potential through the air with a big touchdown reception. Boston College takes on the FBS powerhouse that is the Kansas Jayhawks. Expect some solid production from the young stud as the Eagles work him into the offense once again.

QB, Dillon Gabriel, UCF
Price: $5,600
UCF threw a curveball last week and started the talented true freshman signal-caller Dillon Gabriel over Notre Dame-transfer Brandon Wimbush. It’s hard to argue this decision given that Gabriel’s arm talent opens the door for more from this offense than Wimbush’s legs do. Clearly Draft Kings didn’t notice Gabriel toss two scores and run for another against FAU last week given his incredibly reasonable price. The freshman stud takes on a Stanford team that gave up 377 passing yards to a backup USC quarterback last week.
QB, Skylar Thompson, Kansas State
Price: $5,500
Kansas State has already looked night and day on offense compared to last season and that just shows how great a coach Chris Klieman is. Skylar Thompson is the biggest beneficiary of this given his solid output so far this season after getting beat out a year ago. Thompson is the 30th ranked quarterback in the noontime slot this weekend and is almost assured a pair of scores against Mississippi State who gave up 28 points and 351 yards to ULL several weeks ago.
RB, Cameron Scarlett, Stanford
Price: $5,900
Stanford’s passing game has suffered greatly since KJ Costello fell to injury which is unfortunate considering Davis Mills is a former five-star quarterback. The Cardinal has had to return to their traditional ground game to account for their lack of passing game leading Cameron Scarlett as the breadwinner for Stanford. Scarlett takes on a sub-par UCF rush defense and comes in at a fair price. He’s not the sexiest option but he will get you good points this week.
RB, Re’Mahn Davis, Temple
Price: $3,600
Temple’s offense relies heavily on the run and the Owls haven’t landed on one back in particular yet. Jager Gardner will start undoubtedly but Davis will take over that spot this season I guarantee it. Davis comes in $3,000 under average player value and is great if you spent way too much money on Justin Fields, Jerry Jeudy, and Tylan Wallace.
WR, Gabriel Davis, UCF
Price: $5,800
Once again it seems as though the Draft Kings guys never watch college football. Gabriel Davis is currently averaging over 20 yards per reception and this will remain so long as Dillon Gabriel is the quarterback for the Knights. Expect top tier production from Davis this week against Stanford who allowed huge days to Tyler Vaughns and Amon-Ra St. Brown this past weekend.
WR, Tyler Vaughns and Amon Ra St. Brown, USC
Price: $5,700; $5,000
So this Kedon Slovis may not be as bad as once thought. USC didn’t miss a beat without JT Daniels and it already seems like we may see another USC quarterback transfer next offseason. Tyler Vaughns has killed it lately and he’s stupid cheap and the only other person whose cheaper and worth it is Amon-Ra St. Brown. Both guys are poised for big games against BYU who actually have a competitive offense to keep this game a game.

QB, Bryce Perkins, Virginia
Price: $7,300
So Bryce Perkins isn’t a necessarily unknown commodity and he does come in over average price but this weeks matchup is just too juicy to ignore. UVA takes on Florida State who’s given up 392 yards on the ground to opposing backs in two games. Perkins could easily be the top quarterback on the board this week and his price is very reasonable.
QB, Jacob Eason, Washington
Price: $5,600
I know that Washington didn’t look great after a lightning delay against California but that’s not enough to justify such a drastic price drop. Especially against Hawaii. Eason is due for a bounce-back under much more normal conditions this week. Washington has the talent around to make Eason a stud against a trash, rainbow warrior defense and Draft Kings clearly doesn’t believe that he will.
RB, Trey Sermon, Oklahoma
Price: $5,600
Oklahoma’s ground game largely consists around Jalen Hurts this season but a player who can’t be overlooked is Trey Sermon. Although Sermon doesn’t have the same appeal that Semaje Perine or Joe Mixon had, he’s been the most consistent back in the OU backfield since the start of last season. Sermon isn’t going to post insane numbers but he has gotten 10+ points in each of Oklahoma’s last two games. If you need a safe play this week to match your boom or bust guys then here you go.

WR, Charleston Rambo, Oklahoma
Price: $5,000
Oklahoma has been on a warpath this season as they’ve torn through the gaping holes of the Houston and South Dakota defenses and that won’t change against UCLA. The Bruins have looked dreadful this season and Oklahoma will do whatever they want to this week against Chip Kelly. CeeDee Lamb is the obvious Oklahoma receiver but Charleston Rambo is the real value play. He has the same touchdown numbers and two fewer receptions than Lamb with similar yards per reception. This week, Rambo is $2,500 cheaper than Lamb and arguably just as productive.

QB, Hank Bachmeier, Boise State
Price: $5,800
I’m not sure why Bachmeier fell so far compared to a week ago. Yeah, he had a rough go at it against Marshall, but the Broncos still have the best receiving corps in the Mountain West and they go up against Portland State who actually has a really nice offense for an FCS team. Expect a big bounce-back week for Bachmeier especially with a key Boise playmaker practicing again this week.
QB, Alan Bowman, Texas Tech
Price: $6,800
Normally, I avoid the guys who are over the average cost per player but the two quarterbacks I like the most this week in Alan Bowman and Khalil Tate aren’t even the most expensive guys in that time slot. Bowman, I like the most given how trash the Wildcats defense is this season and that they have a healthy Khalil Tate. Bowman is assured three touchdown passes at a minimum and he’s just barely over the average cost per player this week.
RB, TaZhawn Henry, Texas Tech
Price: $5,300
Texas Tech has these strange games where the running backs have an incredible week and it’s usually in a game where you expect the quarterback to be the guy. Arizona has allowed plenty of yards through the air in the past three weeks and it would be just like Texas Tech to throw a wrench in the system by having a running back go wild against the Wildcats.

WR, Stanley Berryhill III, Arizona
Price: $4,300
Arizona doesn’t have an exact standout in their receiving corps but stats and seniority usually spell good things in a shootout. Stanley Berryhill III has seven receptions for 120 yards and a score over the past two games and the Wildcats are going to have to pass if they want a shot at winning this week. Khalil Tate needs a player to step up and make the big catches in this one and Berryhill is the cheaper of the two trustworthy options for the Wildcats and has arguably the bigger payoff.
