Chase Elliott punched his ticket to the next round of playoffs by winning last week in Talladega, and William Byron got back on the right side of the playoff line following a successful appeal of his penalty assessed the week before. It’s still an elimination race, and anything can happen when the green flag waves at Charlotte.

Bank of America ROVAL 400: NASCAR DFS Picks
The ROVAL represents a “hybrid” track that runs as a road race and, in its four-year history, has earned its way into the more difficult class of playoff races. With such a short history, it is tricky to predict who, if anyone, has an advantage. The “old reliable” choices of Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson reign supreme, but that’s better for outright betting versus DFS lineups. With the lineup set, here’s a look at a few names to keep in mind when you’re looking at your lineups for this afternoon’s race.
The Contenders
- Chase Elliott
- Kyle Larson
- Tyler Reddick
- Joey Logano
Each of these four drivers will cost you a pretty penny, but they are priced this way for a reason. Tyler Reddick, in particular, is a strong contender, given his road course performance for 2022. The No. 8 car took home the checkered flag from two previous road courses, and his early exit from the playoffs is no reason to fade him from your lineups. Logano sits in fifth place heading into the race, where he will start in the pole position. He has had success on road courses throughout his career, and there is no reason to think anything will be different at the ROVAL 400 today.

The “Breakfast Club” Driver
Don’t you forget about Michael McDowell. He is way too cheap on both sites for how he has looked on road courses this season. Put him in your lineups, so you don’t find yourself saying, “How did I forget about him AGAIN?” He is both a value and a contender, in my mind.
One of my favorite things about the “DFS Crossover Events” schedule is that the niche sports like NASCAR and NHL are thinned a bit while everyone turns their attention to football and the baseball postseason. It is an opportune time to jump in on some larger contests with low entry fees and see what you can make happen.
