2019 Fantasy Baseball: Catcher Sleepers

The catcher position is the weakest in fantasy baseball, so identifying potential catcher sleepers is really the way to go. The position is extremely thin and there isn't a lot to offer after the first few come off the board. There's no reason for you to select a catcher in the first three-to-five rounds of a draft. In fact, I wouldn't touch one in the first five or six rounds of my draft. It's not to say it's wrong to select Gary Sanchez or J.T. Realmuto in the earlier rounds, especially in two catcher-leagues. I'd rather…

Week 17 NFL Picks from Chris Meaney

There's always a ton of line movement at this time of the season and Week 17 is no different. The goal was to get to 160 correct picks and that should happen, as long as I don't collapse here in Week 17, which always turns out to be a wacky week. It's a lot like Week 1 as you don't really know what to expect. There will be a lot of teams resting players for either the entire game or the second half. Check back in Sunday morning, because things will change. Good luck in the fantasy football finals and with your Week 17 picks.…

Fantasy Football: Week 16 Rankings from Chris Meaney

If you're glancing at the rankings it means you've made it this far. Hopefully the Week 16 rankings can help you make a choice in what is championship week for you. The one piece of advice I'd give this week is to play it safe, look for solid safe floors. Good luck! I've highlighted a few players I feel differently about when it comes to the consensus on FantasyPros. If you have any questions you can always reach out - @chrismeaney. Good luck! Also check out Chris' Week 16 NFL Picks for when you really need to pick a…

Week 16 NFL Picks from Chris Meaney

There's always a ton of line movement at this time of the season and Week 16 is no different. The Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans opened up as favorites, but they are both underdogs now. Cam Newton is ruled out against Atlanta, so the Falcons are favored by more than a field goal. Houston went from -3.5 favs to +1.5 underdogs after the Eagles beat the Rams last week. Week 16 has a little bit of everything, including two Super Bowl contending teams in New England and Los Angeles who are favored by two scores, while most…

Fantasy Football: Week 15 Rankings from Chris Meaney

If you've made it this far, then it's likely just one more win in order to get to the finals. I'll say what I said last week, and that's to trust the guys who got you this far. Trust your gut and the matchups. There's no need to shoot for the sky in season long leagues, unless your matchups asks for it. Are you up against several players who are playing in high total games? Did you play against Mike Williams or Damien Williams? These are questions you should ask yourself, but at the same time look for a solid floor. Touches…

Week 15 NFL Picks from Chris Meaney

Week 15 means the last of the Thursday games and the beginning of the Saturday games. Don't forget to get your Week 15 picks in early as there are two games on Saturday. The Jets welcome the Texans and the Browns visit the Broncos. Last week was another brutal 9-7 showing which has me at 133-75 straight up. If I don't get to 165, I'll be pretty bummed, because as you'll see below the over/under picks have not been great. You tend to see more line movement this time of the year with all the injuries, so make sure you check…

Week 14 NFL Picks from Chris Meaney

I finally had a good showing last week in the over/under department, but struggled elsewhere. Go figure! I mentioned last week that there were a lot of high totals on the board and I was going to be heavy on the under. The under hit 10 times last week and let's hope it's the opposite this week as I expect there to be some high scoring games. Make sure you check back Sunday morning as things change. Good luck to all making Week 14 NFL picks. We'll keep track of all my picks throughout the season, including my losses! Over…

Fantasy Football: Week 14 Rankings from Chris Meaney

Finally, that fantasy football playoffs have arrived. It's very important to keep checking back with my Week 14 rankings, but it's also important to trust yourself at this time of the year. Play the guys who got you here and try not to overthink things. I've been cute with my lineups several times over the years, and it usually doesn't pan out. Upside is nice, but so is a safe steady floor. I'm just as intrigued with Jaylen Samuels, Jeff Wilson Jr. and Justin Jackson as the next, but there are better plays out there in Week…

Week 13 Touches and Targets Leaders

Taking a look at the Week 13 touches and targets leaders can go a long way in projecting where fantasy points may come from in the near future. Each week, I break down which running backs lead the way in touches, including red zone opportunities. Most of the top performers in touches and targets on a week-to-week basis are not only owned in most leagues, but started as well. This will give us a clearer view of where touchdowns may come from; a huge plus for the DFS players out there. As you'll see below, there are several…

Fantasy Football: Week 14 Waiver Wire and Injuries to Watch

Who says the Week 14 waiver wire is full of 'unstartable scrubs'? If you've been reading along you already own Spencer Ware, Justin Jackson, and Jaylen Samuels. We've been talking about stashing running backs and wide receivers for weeks now. Remarkably, all three of them have an opportunity to make some noise in the fantasy football playoffs. The biggest news heading into Week 14 is that James Conner will likely miss multiple weeks due to a high-ankle sprain. The guy who likely got you to the playoffs may be the reason you…
