I know, I know. Having to plug kickers and defenses into your fantasy lineups is one of the worst parts of fantasy football. Especially when you get beat because of it. But you get what you get, and you don’t get upset. So, let’s take a look at three potential defenses that could score you some points. Houston Texans Defense
I’m typing this very sheepishly, but I’ve decided that I mean it. Despite their inability to limit turnovers, have a competent offense, or have any kind of respectable running game, the Texans are a defense you can pick up. The Seattle Seahawks are still not themselves, and whether it be rust or injury, Russell Wilson is still not himself. Or perhaps, maybe he is himself, as he’s struggled in the 2nd half of seasons for the past few years. Either way, this Seattle offense is not one to be feared. No offense that has to start Adrian Peterson in 2021 is particularly dangerous. They’re most likely just injured.
Denver Broncos Defense
I know they got their first win, but are you scared of the Detroit Lions? Me neither. How much more analysis is required? On top of that, the Broncos have actually displayed they are a defense to fear with the likes of Chubb and Surtain, they’ll also be able to force passing situations, sacks, and interceptions. If they’re available, hop on the Broncos.
Cleveland Browns Defense
This is less so a bet on the Browns defense, and more of a bet on the Browns running game, and Lamar Jackson’s inability to prevent his own turnovers. Whether it be fumbles or interceptions, Lamar isn’t playing to his MVP ceiling right now. We need to take advantage of this, and in what will likely be a quick game, due to all the running by both teams, we may be set for a situation in which the defense that gets a few turnovers will win the game. That sets up well for Cleveland.
