2019 NFL Draft: Seahawks Select L.J. Collier

With the 29th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks selected TCU DE L.J. Collier

Collier had 11.5 tackles for a loss and six sacks in 2018. He lacked some experience as a starter in college but came on late and impressed at the Senior Bowl. Collier can begin to replace Frank Clark, who was actually traded to Kansas City for this selection earlier this week. Collier is a hungry and determined rusher who can also line up at different spots on the defensive line. Pete Carroll likes to move his linemen around and Collier will be able to attack the QB from various angles.

Fantasy Impact of  L.J. Collier

Seattle had 43 sacks last year and Collier can help keep the pass rush effective combining with DT Jarren Reed. The Seahawks defense was useful as a streaming option last season and will be again in the right matchups in 2019. Collier is another key piece as Carroll looks to build his defense back to a highly rated spot again.
